  • Multi-Sector Leadership explores the careers of 2000 to executives to analyze how cross-sector experiences shape leadership skills.
  • Networked Nonprofits studies organizations that leverage the power of organizational networks to achieve impact at levels beyond what they can do on their own.
  • Volunteerism in Ethnic Communities explores the ways in which view and engage in volunteerism, as well as the motivations and preferences of volunteers from ethnic communities.
  • The Nonprofit Sector’s Impact on Jobs and the Economy looks at how the economic output of the nonprofit sector affects the broader national economy.

Social Sector SolutionsIn Social Sector Solutions, multidisciplinary student teams work with McKinsey & Company coaches to leverage their education and tackle critical strategic challenges for nonprofit, public and social enterprises.

 

Berkeley Board FellowsIn Berkeley Board Fellows, graduate students serve on nonprofit boards of directors to create impact at the highest level of the organization and gain valuable insights on governance. During the 9-month placement, the Fellow sits on a board committee and completes a strategic project.

 

cal-strat-philThe Haas Impact Investing Network (HIIN) provides MBA students with first-hand experience in impact investing. HIIN is part of an international network bringing together socially minded MBA students from top business engaged in the process of impact investing.
